my birthday

My birthday was last Thursday. This day started with a lot of surprises. At morning my mom woke me up with a huge hug and a kiss, then I went to the university, there my friends gave me many congrats. At the afternoon I went out with my first boyfriend, David, I was so excited because we haven´t seen around three years ago. We went to wath a movie and later we ate Mc Donald´s. At nigth muy friends and some family came to my house to hang out and celebrate my birthday eating pizza, listening music and taking some drinks.

I received gifts from some relatives and my best friends, I love then, they were so cool, some of them were: gummy bears, t shirts, a new computer and a pig that save money.

The day didn´t finish there, we continued celebrating on Friday goint to dance.

This birthday was so great because I did things that I have never imagined, really I can say that is the happiest birtday of my life.

LIGA

Liga is the most important soccer team in Ecuador.
I have always been a fan of this team, but during the last two or three years my team has given me lot of joy.
Liga has won the " Copa Libertadores de America" on July of 2008, because of this tournament the players had the chance to go to play in Japan against the Manchester United, one of the biggest soccer teams in the world .
I remember that I used to wake up around three or four am to see the matches, that was fun.
Now Liga is going to play another international final this wednesday against the same rival of the first final , Fluminense, I hope that Liga wins a new cup ,that way they can show with no doubt why they are the best soccer team in Ecuador.

The End of the World

According to the Mayas predictions the world is going to end on december 12th 2012. They affirm that the world has cycles, and in that year our cycle is going to end, so the the human race will disappear.

This prediction also affirms thah every kind of natural disasters are going to affect our planet, sucha as tsunamis, earthquakes and volcanoe eruptions, ther ewill be also dramatic changes of weather. But all of these disasters are produced by the global warming.

The Mayas also say that on this day, a planet alignment will occur, and this event could cause that our planet turn around and the north will then become the south.
Most of the people don´t believe in this theory, but if we keep polluting our air, and don´t care our environment, the Maya´s prediction will become true.

Senior Citizen I Admire

His name is Raul Mosquera Peñaherrera, he is 78 years old, he was born in Quito, Ecuador on January 12.

He lives in his house with his wife, but almost all their daughers and their son live very close. Now he is retired so he stays at home.

He loves to work in his house, he loves to plants so he has a garden where he digs up tomatoes and other vegetables, andi his wife prepare delicious dishes with them. He likes to exercise and to spend time taking care of his plants and animals, he has some rabbits. He likes to share with his famiy, he also likes listening music andd to play the guitar, he used to have a group when he was young.

He is a very generous person, when he was young he used to work in a factory, so he traveled around the country; and working very hard he coul give to his family a good life style.

I admire him because besides of being muy gradfather is an extraordinary man, I love him a lot, I really admire him because he has responsble, he has tought us values and what the real meaning of a family is. I also admire him because he is sensitive.

Because of him I have learned that life is hard and that we have to work a lof if we want to get what we want. I just love him the way he is, because he has showed me that he realy loves all the members of our family.

my family

My family is the best. There are four people in miy family. There are my sister Maria Pia, my mother Pia, my father Marcelo and me.

My sister is older than me, she is 21 years old and she is studying to become a lawyer. She is about to finish her carrier next year.

My mom is an elementary school teacher, she works al Liceo Internacional. All people say that I am her copy because I look like her.

My father works at a bank. He love to play soccer; he used to play it when he was young. I have his same temper so sometimes we fight but we love each other a lot.

I love sharing time with my family, specially with my sister because she is the best sister in the whole world, she used to let me sleep in her bed when i was little and got scared of the dark, and now she supports me in everything.

my two passions

I decided to study social communication because I love to writte, I start writing when I was seven years old, I like to put in a paper all different feelings that I have known during my life. I think writing is the best way to express everybody what you are thinking, also is the best way to trough out any kind of emotion.
This decition was hard to take because I have two passions, the first one is writing and the second one is music, but I didn’t consider music like a real carrier in this country so I decided to study to be a journalist but not leaving the option to study music.
Actually Im studying music In my free time because in a future I wish to go to chile to study musical production, that way I will mix my two passions writing songs some day!.

My name is María Belén Rivadeneira Mosquera, I was born in Quito, the morning of Sunday November 26, 1989. I grew up in a very close family with my mom and dad and my sister. I have lived in Quito during all my life.I have always liked to write, that is the reason why I am actually studying to become a journalist. Even when things have not been easy for me I think I have all the things I need to be happy, I love good music, I love having fun with my friends, I also love junk food and gummy bears. I consider myself as a good friend, and as a brave woman. I like to fight for the people I love, and I know that we must learn of every thing that life puts in our way.
